PaintCHiPs announced that he was, infact, Chee Wup Sun, informing the SPF that the annoying character who had turned up recently was actually an Alt of his. This was confounded by the fact that Paint was not telling the truth, although everyone believed him and had infact denied a real person thier online identity.
When Chee returned from holiday to discover that everyone thought he was just an alt of paint - i dont think the poor boy was ever the same.

Danielle basiclly posted pictures of this hottie camgirl and made out that it was her. Everyone thought she was real hot and as is usual with internet nerds drooled all over her.
Anyway about 4 months of everyone thinking she was this hottie went by until the girl whos pics they were turned up at SPF wanting to know why her images were being used here.
Turned out Danielle wasn't the slim nubile young thing everyone took her for.
This was made even more amusing when Dani berated Caffiene for his Generic Failure/Caffiene schizophrenia.

Still probably my finest internet moment.
Chee: "I'm a real person!!!!"
Everybody: "Shut the fuck up Paint. It's not funny anymore."
Chee: "!!!!"
What was even better was the sheer volume of threats, begging, pleading, crying, etc etc that I got inundated with by Chee to please give him back his identity. I even started feeling sorry for him and tried to make right, but by then everybody had regged so many variations of "Chee Wup Paint" or "Sun of CHeeP" or whatever that it got lost in the noise. Poor Chee was devastated that he could no longer exist as a separate persona. He tried coming back under a few other names, but it was never quite the same. It always ended like Spartacus.
The best was when he regged his first alt to try to quietly regain some amount of individuality, quickly got exposed, and then everybody got pissed off at me for regging an alt of an alt to fuck with them with.

I've always wondered what the fuck you guys were talkin about with this Chee Wup stuff, and it always smelled of somethin kinda lame and not worth checkin out. Now it sounds like one of the funniest things I could've seen here.
Starr's death. How could I have forgotten that?
I think dancing with smug and corn, and then dirty dancing with Czech, in a gay bar in Madrid was a defining moment for me. But that was more of a, "How in the hell did I get here with these people," moments than anything else.

RogueWarriors self imposed banishment and his subsequent deletion of every single one of his posts making muich of his forum unreadable.
SimpleSimons self imposed banishment. He's been back occasionally as he hits the local library, but not enough.
and yes, i added tht into the mix because i can.
paints election2004 coverage
TT, whos useless, yet incidentally correct commentary to the election2004 coverage allowed him to redefine post-whore, while in paint's presence.
the multiple threats ive gotten of banishment from pdm
just about every reference to squee being a good christian AND a hired killer
tigerjez, the first lawyer i've really conversed with who had almost no respect for the rule of law. First, but likely not the last.
Ive tended to avoid the drama, but from what you guys are on about, mayhaps I ought to change that.

I'm still a bit of a noob here, but so far mine are:
Meeting Smug Git who is indeed both smug and a git, and a jolly good beer drinker.
Meeting Spaceboy, Dmoon, Weasel, & Phorbie.
Owning Paint over the election results.
Making this .
Getting this shit from Paint afterwards:

But best of all was the day Cockney Rebel introduced me to this place.
You people almost matter.

n00bness, but
- The election debates. Taught me lots of things, and temporarily made me the wisest person in Denmark.
- The deaths were very interesting.
- More or less unwittingly pissing off a wide range of people (like 4b in that great Beslan thread), then having nice discussions with them shortly after.
- Certain PMs.

I remember all of you (while you loved her) flaming Emerald on her bible studies ... you should have been in the house at the time -- her blood pressure went through the roof .... And her moments of a Horny Drunk Mom .... God that was funny .... and fun too ..

SP.
SPF I know little of, as I banned on my 2nd post.
THT/Asylum have generated some memorable moments, and some good times with great people.
RogueWarrior, one of the best human beings it has ever been my pleasure to meet/know/spend time with. Funny, intelligent, a great cook and a truly strangely eclecctic taste in video - ever seen Golgotha, Arkansas?
theMAC, guite possibly the most empathetic young man I've ever met, and truly one the most dryly humorous men alive.
Mudflap, a genuinely good man; caring, real, capable, and honest. Great fun, and looked fabulous at his and Val's wedding.
Billyman, the munchkin from Hell with a heart of gold. Most little men go through life with a chip on their shoulder - Billy goes through life being bigger than you think upon meeting him.
Mugtoe, - what can I say? He redefines the concept of homosexual in a way that makes it more acceptable and entertaining for all, at the same time being amazingly manly in a redneck farmer/intellectual literati fashion. Truly, one of the best people I've met in recent years
Oxsan, - an example for us all of aging gracefully and still loving the world around you. I would wish for 1/4 as much grace should I live as long.
Psychotic Bitch (now PB/aka Mrs. Mudflap), Ms. Bing, Hygiliak, etc.
I am running out of time here (the librarian just told me I have to surrender the comp to another patron) - more later.

Unfortunately that was my mother.
She discovered this place via an IRC window I accidently left open when I went to work while she was visiting.
Caffeine convinced her I was gay through some forged chat logs and it took a day to fix that.
Then she thought she could take on morgana.
I still get migraines when I think of her time here.

with all the member deaths and member death scares, i'm surprised nobody mentioned the fear of whether or not GgnGnop (did i get that right?) was at the WTC on 9/11/01. he worked at the WTC, if i remember correctly, and we were all freaked out for weeks that he was dead, until he finally responded to emails and posted that he was alive still.
