Saw some big mudslides in CA yesterday, that looked like no fun.

We have had mild weather.

It's sleeting here, will turn to snow later without accumulation.
Thursday's high in the 60's; Friday's in the 20's.

Oak Creek is 3 feet above normal right now (which is nothing) but it flows into the Verde River which is already 6 foot over flood stage above the Oak Creek confluence. It is starting to rain pretty good here and Flagstaff is getting a rain/snow mix that is going to melt the 3-4 foot of snow on the rim above us.
It's going to flood like crazy here.

I had breakfast at a local eatery with one of the owners of a parcel of land down on Oak Creek that I am buying 3 acres of and we formalized the deal while listening to the radio going on about the flooding.

I'm alarmed. The 75 cm of snow is melting quickly and in the southern parts of Sweden, signs of spring are starting to show.

I saw the sun today for the first time in months. Something really odd is going on here and I don't like it.

Last year we had below -30 C and day was the same colour as our night.

January broke all the records since 1873. Yesterday, we had 12.4C.
Earlier records of 12 are from 1990, 1993 and 1999.
Average temperature so far is 6.3C, normally it's about 0-1

It sucks. All my polar survival skills are for naught. Mokkori, you want to move to Greenland? I reckon they'll still have snow for a couple of years.

Yes and they're saying on the news that they're afraid of another storm hitting us tonight. I'm not too worried about that though, I live too far up north.

Have yet to go to Greenland, sounds great though.

Oh and Coincidence ...

You haven't been out driving have you?

For you that cannot understand Swedish, it's about a Danish man refusing to stop his car and simply kept on driving out in the flood. He thought he knew the road well enough.

Yep, it's buzzing through North Britain just now - we're looking at 100 mph gusts.

It's a bad un.

It's cold and getting colder. Between -25 and -40 (that's celcius. around -11 to -35 F) for the next couple days with
an extreme wind chill warning getting us down to around -42 to -57. I don't think I'm going to go to school tomorrow when it's supposed to be snow and blowing snow all day. I'm not real excited about that.

Sounds like the planet has had enough of our shit. Death comes for us all.

That's odd, because I know that. I just clicked the link on the weather office page I was on that converts the units to imperial, and used the numbers from there. Stupid weather office.

-1 powers of observation pernts for me?
