yeah, the centigrade/celcius scale puts 100 divisions between the boiling and freezing points of water, wheras the fahrenheit scale puts 100 divisions over a smaller range (maybe it was supposed to be blood temperature to freezing point of seawater, or something, although blood temperature is actually about 98.4 F, in fact).

15 houses so far have been swept in to the Santa Clara river here in St. George. The Virgin river has taken as many between here, Arizona and Nevada. If you see any of them floating by, well, you know where they came from.
Mountains above my house and Zion Park received over 12 inches of rain in 12 hours. We have now hit "disaster area" status and there are entire communities that have been turned in to islands due to bridges being knocked out. 2 lives have been lost.
Damned mormons shouldn't have prayed so hard for the end to the drought.
-5F actual temp outside right now. I just got home and had to wait twenty minutes for a bus over in Uptown. Let's just say that it's a bit bracing out there, friends.
Drying out today. Went and looked at one of the local golf courses that got washed out during the flood. There's lot's of holes where there didn't used to be and lots of mud and debris where there should be grass. There are over 100 golf course holes under water in Southern Utah at the moment.
