They didn't have Cthulu, so I got F.E.A.R instead, which is pretty boring and not very scary.
Meanwhile, many people have been telling me how Company of Heroes is the best game evar, so let's get that.

Oblivion and God of War.

I just bought Call of Cthulhu for the PC on eBay. Should be arriving at the end of the week or so.

Broke down and got FFXII the other day.

The battle system has changed completely but I like it. For once I'm trying to beat an RPG when it's newish and am not using a walkthrough so I'm not sure if I'm missing out on half the game, but I have free time, I can always play it again later..

Bottom line, I like it better than 10 and 8. Best one since 7, at least.

If I lived in the states I'd be playing 'Gears Of War' at some point today. But, I don't, which sucks. Instead I have to wait ten days to play this awesome game. Why?

Call of Cthulhu arrived today. Frustratingly dark at times (I can't see shit!). The "Attack of the Fishmen" definitely sets a "Holy fuck I'm doomed oh my god" tone and pace.

Although the fact that they call this game "Call of Cthulhu" is a bit misleading. It really should have been called "Shadow Over Insmouth," because that's exactly what it is.

It goes beyond that soon, there's a lot from Shadow out of Time.
It has a gamma adjustment if you need it brighter.
I know what you mean about Attack of the Fishment, though. Not many games have made me that tense.

I've cranked the brightness in the game to the max, as well as on my monitor, and I still can't see shit half the time. I bumbled around for nearly five minutes in that part with the dismembered dude on the alien device trying to find my way back to the door I came through. I just could not see anything.

I suspect the likely culprit is my ancient monitor. The thing is probably about eight years old now.

"Only two very brave UK-based journalists said, 'You know what, Gears of War is a great game but it's like what Quake was a few years ago.

"Why are people loving it so much? It's like added production value, incredible cutscenes and the best ever graphics ever. I'm sure it's going to be a great success, I can't wait to play it, but let's face that graphics are still number one," Tascan continued.

Guitar Hero 2

Some of the re-recorded vocal tracks are just retarded. Case in point: Mathew Sweet's "Girlfriend." I don't like this song anyway, but it sounds like Weird Al did the vocals. They also did a fair job butchering "Them Bones." Unfortunately "Trogdor" also had a new vocal track thrown down (and not by Strongbad ).

It feels like they just didn't try with the vocals this go around.
