Saturday night game night. I've been getting back into board games for the past few months. There are some fantastic ones out now that are much more complex and fun to play than a lot of the older ones.
Pondering my next move playing Betrayal at House on the Hill.
A quick, fun game of Alhambra.
We finished up the night with Risk: Godstorm, which I wasn't terribly impressed with.
quote:Originally posted by SocialParasite unless you want to spend a ton of gold in the AH on gems you have to take mining. I can count the number of gems I've found with my miner one a shop teacher's hand. I've gotten lucky once and found a Lesser Moonstone.
When you train Jewelcrafting, you gain the passive skill "Prospecting" which increases your chance to find gems while mining. So yeah, it's necessary to be a miner. But the same is true for every crafting profession that requires a gathering profession. Leatherworkers need skinning. Alchemists need herbalism. Engineers, Jewelcrafters, and Blacksmiths need mining.
My priest is lvl 70, and raiding Karazahn and Gruul's lair hardcore. My guild is up to the prince in Karazahn right now.
When Outlands came out, I rapidly replaced all my epics (full epics, ftw) with blues and greens. Now I'm slowly starting to get some really nice lvl 70 purples from lvl 70 raiding.
I'm loving the changes to alchemy. My priest is specced for potion mastery, so I get extra procs of all the potions I make, sometimes gettign up to 5 super mana pots for the mats of 1. That's really nice for raid nights
Priests are getting pretty much the biggest nerf ever, which I'm sure Goatboy is just as pissed off about as I am.
***Prayer of Mending = 10 second cooldown. Goodbye priest survivability in PvP
***Vampiric Embrace reduced by 20% and incapable of crits. That's funny.... didin't they give us a 2 point talent in the shadow tree called "IMPROVED" vampiric embrace which buffs our VE spell by 10%? now they are making it so that we have to spend those two talent points to have a LESS EFFECTIVE vampiric embrace than we had before the "improved" vampiric embrace talent even existed.
Karazahn is a lot of fun, and it's actually pretty easy once your guild has it down. it's taken us a couple weeks, but we're all the way up to the prince already. i've got 4 epics so far from Karazahn -- a ring, shoulders, bracers, and an offhand.
i definitely hear you about switching mains, Goatboy.
i have a 70 priest, which i am protesting the nerf with, so i switched to my rogue for a little. got him from lvl 60 to lvl 61 and realized i absolutely hate everything about the rogue class. it's so fucking simple and boring. the entire gameplay of a rogue consists of these two phrases: "LOL SINISTER STRIKE CRIT" and of course "I NEED A NEW DAGGER ROFLOL"
i played my hunter for a level or two as well (he's 47) but don't really enjoy hunters either, though they are pretty damn overpowered.
so im currently leveling a paladin to 70. i'm at 34 right now. i'm still raiding with my priest, but will possibly give him up for a while once i get my paladin to 70.
