In that area? In that bar?

Yeah, hunting camo's are pretty normal attire.

you'd also be well camouflaged at an acid party with those.

The local army-navy store has a glut of three colour desert camo. $12 a pair.

Um, I don't live in town but yeah, 2/3 of people in my area wear comoflage of some sort on a daily basis. They're cheap and durable.

If you're refering to me, keep in mind I used to live in San Diego for a while. Not the biggest city, but it wasn't the backwoods either.

Doing time in the local jail for trying to smuggle baloney into the US doesn't count as'living in San Diego', 'crika.

I went sailing today on a 47 foot Benteau today. We went under the Golden Gate Bridge into the Ocean. It was amazing.

Here are the two pics I got on my camera before the batteries died. I took some more on other people's cameras- they're sending them to me later.

Karen (my next door neighbor) and me infront of the bridge:

The Bridge (duh)

Because the body of water it spans is called the Golden Gate (strait). Named about a hundred years before the bridge was ever built.

You might think that the strait was named "Golden Gate" on account of how tied into gold California history is (the gold rush, "The Golden State", and so on), but you'd be wrong. It was actually named before gold was ever discovered in CA; the name is an homage of sorts to the Golden Horn, the harbor of Byzantium (now, the estuary that splits Istanbul), and was christened as such (or first recorded at any rate) by John C. Frémont, who incidentally is the first Republican candidate for president in the history of America (also the first presidential candidate to openly oppose slavery--lost to Buchanan, he did).

Why that particular strait reminded Fremont of the Golden Horn, or better yet why the Golden Horn is called the Golden Horn, I've no idea. Ask the Turks.

So is Morg's function pretty much just to wander around the world taking excruciatingly adorable photographs of herself in front of famous structures?

How the fuck do you get a job like that?

Ask Weasel.

Alternatively, Squee, get into a great college. Or do what paint does, bum around for years at shitty colleges following your mother around, and then do your final year (8 years after you started) at a great college and graduate from there.

My roommate's birthday was last night. We threw her a surprise party at one of our friend's apartments. Many people arrived (some of which we didnt know) and lots of drunkenness was to be seen. (My friend has a picture of the fridge before everyone arrived- We had somewhere around 150 jello shots pre-made!)

(edit) By the way, the party was SO good that it was broken up by the cops

I dont party much so it was quite a thing that i was there last night. Because I dont party much, I made sure that last night counted.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from last night:

Karen and Me

Matt and Me

Ashley (the birthday girl/roomie) and Me

Me feeling no pain

The Mircea/Morgan totem pole. I look stoned out of my mind (and I probably was)

I spy a suspicious bruise on your arm, so I'm not buying that you don't 'party' very often.
