He's got 30,000 into it and it was appraised at $45,000 and he had an offer for $50,000 on it (he didn't take it). He really ought to find a better place for it other than the shop. I almost whacked it with a piece of angle iorn one time and was informed that was a firing offence. We give it a wide berth.

Thats why I love OSHA. Its almost impossible for a constantly operating work site to stay in compliance. OSHA has assisted me in fucking over several past employers.
Its been about 4 years since I've made a complaint so things may have changed but If you go to OSHA's website and actually fill out a complaint form which you mail to them and you clearly list simple violations then OSHA is required to do a site visit and they always find more stuff than what you listed in your written complaint. If you call them via the hotline then OSHA will usually just do a follow up with your employer via mail or phone call.
