I rode a messenger bike (Beach Cruiser) there every weekday for nearly 2 years all through the city. On the weekends I'd roll a few joints and set out in no particular direction and just dig on the city.
Like Loser was saying about Golden Gate park....I guess everyone did the same thing, make a stop in the Haight then get stoned and wander through the park and wind up out at Ocean Beach or some part of the Sunset District along the way. It's such a great city to get lost in.
I've lived off of Powell St. near Union Square, and out in North Beach on Columbus. I still dearly love Fishermans Wharf and all the touristy bullshit and good food.
Mord, Did you take the Alcatraz boat from the Embarcadero? I always loved that trip.
