Shooting Star ~ Hang On For Your Life

Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, I'm unable to find any video of this band. Nevertheless, here's a youtube audio of some serious rock 'n' roll from a seriously underrated band:

About the band, from wikipedia.

Oh, and I do have the album on vinyl.

Amen.

The Ides of March ~ LA Goodbye

This is a much later performance of an outstanding song by a band that had their day in the sun many moons ago:

Vehicle, their #1 hit in 1970.

Oh, and here's wikipedia.

House of Freaks - Sun Gone Down
This band has a sad history. On New Years Day 2006, Bryan Harvey, the guitarist and vocalist in this duo, his wife and two small daughters were murdered by house robbers.
It's a great song though and one I played the hell out of when it came out 20 years ago.

well done.

I like black bubblegum by the dillinger escape plan (still wearing out my norma jean though) but this song is catchy, I like the lyrics alot. very timely...though i dont care for the video, the director was trying too hard and the budget was low...apparently

Got so much salt from your lies poured into me
You didn't see yourself dead already
So full of with every breath that you breathe
But you forgot that in your fairy tale I'm the wolf
All this attention got you thinking that you're a queen
You think that everything you're doing isn't a dream, long as it feel alright.

I had gotten frozen by the way that you walked, by the love that you gave, by that look on your face
It's a coverup
I know everything
[x2]

You're made for four letter fame
Regret is part of your name
There's something you couldn't tell
It's what you wanted to feel
It's what you're dying to feel

Check out your face on the wall
Like what you see?
I'm sure you see yourself oh so unique
You're just a sucker for the flame of the week
But you forget that in your fairy tale bitch I'm the wolf
All this attention got you thinking you we're a queen
You thought that everything in life you want should be free
Nothing is what you think

I had gotten frozen by the way that you walked, by the love that you gave, by that look on your face
It's a coverup
I know everything
[x2]

You're made for four letter fame
Regret is part of your name
There's something you couldn't tell
It's what you wanted to feel
It's what you're dying to feel

JEB, I got to see Shooting Star play everything they had ever recorded live in a small club in Northern California. What a great group of musicians. "Last Chance" was always one of my favorites of theirs.
