mouse: I used to use a flat iron for my hair(to straighten and get rid of frizz), but realised that hot rollers(as large as you can find) tend to be easier and faster to use for people with hair as curly as ours.
Plus, it leaves a little tiny bit of curl/volume to the hair. Makes it feel more natural.
I still use the flat iron occasionally, but hot rollers are a lot easier, usually with better results. Just thought I'd throw that out there for you. I doubt you want to be flat ironing all morning either.
Flat iron(for me) = 25-30 minutes of effort
Hot rollers = 5 minutes to heat up, 2 to put the rollers in, 10 on hair(while you go do something else), fingercomb it, done.
