I saw Limitless. I don't know if I reveled in a cinematic endeavor, but I very much enjoyed the trippy visuals and imagining what it would be like to have absolute brainpower. The ending, though. What a copout.
Hopkins is an old, sick Kiwi who travels to USA to set the land-speed record on an old piece of junk. I could see why this is one of LF's favourite movies.
For me at least it was another movie that confronted me with my negative expectations of how things turn out in these kinds of stories. Just waiting for when the nice old man meets a cruel twist of fate. But no, _everyone_ is an angel in disguise. I guess we buy that because the movie is set in a sixties where people had the chance to be decent, not yet being swept up in the sociological horrors of later decades. Or maybe it's because it wasn't made by an American. 7/10
