The Innocents, 1961. Well shot, with plenty of room for the suspense elements to breathe.

Always a pleasure to watch it, when it's randomly shown on TV.

One of my favorites ever..

The Green Hornet.

Not bad. In fact, I rather liked it. Which is saying something from a movie cynic like myself. It was more entertaining than most of the films I've watched this year and 50 times more viewable than the likes of Battle: Los Angeles or that other pile of wasted celluloid that was Skyline. I didn't even sit through the entirety of either films and was glad I downloaded them for free rather than waste precious resources and valuable time renting and (god forbid) going to the cinema.

I digress.

I am not going to post any spoiler of any kind and just suggest giving it a watch. Great action scenes with a good dose of comedy thrown in for good measure.

4 stabs in the eye outta 5.

Indeed. Every single movie or Tv-show is dubbed, before it comes to the german market.

Whereas I prefer to watch them in english, if the movie doesn't feature an difficult accent. Ain't many german torrents out there, though.

I prefer subtitles to dubbed.

My favourite foreign film is The Orphanage, Spain makes some pretty good movies.

Still, really? Why?
In the eighties it was always fun going to southern Denmark where they had German channels due to proximity. Some of those kids spoke better German than Danish.

I never watch a movie with subtitles. I love books and foreign movies, but I hell not wanna read while enjoying the medium "Film".

The Orphanage was good, usually I don't go for Latin-flicks (Amores Perres, beautiful were weird, boring trash in my opinion), but I like the director Del Torro though.

First it was just practical, because not many of our 80 million people understood english proper enough.
Now it's because our Synchronization-branch is a major industry. Further it's a cultural thing: We don't wanna defile our heritage with this filthy excuse of a language.

I think it's a fine middle way, between Scandinavia (full english) and France (no english at all).

Del Toro didn't direct The Orphanage, which is one reason why it's so good.

Scandinavia, full english?? More like, full original language.

Which tells us that you were defraud of the freedom to switch between the original language and the national dub.

Denmark is showing more and more of a 1984 mentality..

The Tunnel (2011)

You'd think being a low budget aussie flick it'd be shite, but it's a damn good horror and well worth a watch. 8.6/10

Best film I've seen in months.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Acceptable. Don't know why they had to drain it of colour, though. 6.3/10

Journey to the Center of the Earth.
The one with Brendan Fraser. Totally unacceptable and extremely bad, but... well, I saw the whole thing, if only to make sure I completely know the bottom of the barrel. I thought about giving it -10 but that would make Predators look good. This is like Predators for kids. I think too much about these things. 0.1/10
