This was more of a documentary made into a movie than anything else.
It was still pretty good though.

Did you like Milo and Otis? I did. I ask because I saw "A Dog's Purpose" last night and it bears some similarities to M&O in the story telling.

Rotten Tomatoes has ADP at 35% rotten. The audience score of 75% is a far more honest and legitimate assessment of this fine little move. It is a very good kid movie, but adults will enjoy it, too.

So, to answer your question, I am happy I watched it. Here's a link.

Amen.

I haven't seen any pet-related movies since I was a wee bairn.

Because frankly the idea fills me with an elitist horror, a little like the one you felt when grandma hugged you in an unpleasantly perfumed embrace and wouldn't let go.

I wanna know what movie made LF happy. He shouldn't watch or talk about sad movies.

A Cure For Wellness (2012)

I saw this yesterday evening at the Thursday night sneak-peek. Frankly, I don't know exactly what to think about it. Perhaps if I watch it again, I might like it better, although that's probably a very long-shot.

Of one thing I am certain - I saw nothing to justify urging others to pay retail to see it. Come to think of it, nor is there anything particularly enhanced by the big screen. Here's a link.

Amen.

The Great Wall (2017)

I saw this last night in 3D. It had the typical 3D arrows, etc., coming straight at you. There wasn't, however, anything new or revolutionary for the 3D fan.

As for the movie, it's okay, although they could've improved it by replacing Matt Damon and Willem Dafoe, for that matter. Pedro Pascal was far better.

In sum see TGW if you want, but if you don't, your life will be entirely unaffected. Here's a link.

Thumbs up Get Out (2017)

Just got back from a Thursday night sneak-peek of this flick written and directed by Jordan Peele. It currently has a %100 certified fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I am happy to report that this is one of those rare times when I am very much in agreement with the critical consensus. Get Out is a damn good movie and I'll leave it at that.

Here's a link.

Amen.

I'm shocked that people say the new Wolverine movie is good.

I feel like they should hand out free movie tickets for us poor suckers who saw the previous ones and lost faith in humanity.

I don't intend to see it. At least a coupla RT "super reviewer(s)" essentially agreed with you:

"This film ... is still the movie equivalent of Rohypnol and left no impression on me at all. The bullying scenes were a little too "after-school special" and fake, and its snail-like pace really tests the audience. This film will get faux love, genuine love, faux criticism and genuine criticism, so it may be hard to determine if you should go see it. I say, unless you have a particular interest, save your time and money."

~and~

"... This is, unequivocally, one of the most overrated films in quite some time. ..."

Many of the audience reviews don't toe the chorus line, either. Rotten Tomatoes.

Amen.

Well, I guess it shows that I'm not the only one not enamoured with this film. Also, Mahershala Ali had a very small role in the film. He was good. But Oscar worthy?? Let's remember what happened in 2016 at the Oscars. Could this have something to do with it? Just sayin'.

By the way, I do miss the discussion boards at IMDB, where I actually learned things every time I went there.

Oscar movies are generally terrible, with Chihiro and Birdman as notable exceptions.
