Moon was fine. Especially if you're a 2001 fan.

I thought it was completely uneventful.

synopsis: "I'm a clone and I'm getting off this rock!" He then does so without a single hitch to his plans and the people of Earth are aghast at his plight (like they totally would be in real life.) The End.

as I said earlier in this thread Duncan Jones hasn't quite made the great sci-fi movie that is obviously in there somewhere. I enjoyed both Moon and Source Code though I'd like to see him tackle something of a wider scope and not just single room type shoots. Seems his project "Mute" which was talked about as a homage to bladerunner has been put on hold due to funding, sad face
William Gibson is a fan and twitter feeds seem to have them talking on occasion, Neuromancer? The project is in perpetual limbo.

Kaboom
Araki unloads perhaps the lamest ending since The Village.
The film itself presents odd questions, but the answers are as fucked as the ending.

The recent Jane Eyre was terrific.

Jonah Hex
Not wonderful, but better than I expected after reading a slew of crappy reviews.
It's neither as hard to follow or as badly acted as most reviewers seemed to think.

Also liked the recent Jane Eyre. Then watched L'empire des loups. Not as good, but notable for one stimulating ass-kicking sequence in a covered walkway.

I'm a sucker for romance movies and this is the best one I've seen in a long time.

not that bad, though I'm not sure if the cliffhanger ending was intentional or if they wrote themselves into a corner.

rubber was somewhat enjoyable though its pretty obvious its a padded out short film.

watched Drive Angry last night, was not what I was expecting and ended up enjoying it for its stupidity. it's pure trash, but atleast it knows it.

Horrible Bosses. Funny, not great, not brilliant, but good cast and some good bits.

Apparently it's a little hard getting an English subtitle file to go with this movie on a Mac but I really didn't need it. I liked the vibe of this entire movie. It's a cool flick.

Machete 2010

First film in a long time I've turned off because it was shitter than shit. Got to about 10 minutes, and that was painful.

Yesterday was a shit film frenzy, 3.4/10.

Kevin Bacons accent was unbelievably piss poor and irritating.

Meh. Well done, but kind of a flimsy construct. 7.5/10

tornado alley

for a movie that took 8 years to make it sure is short and light on storm footage, but imax movies at the henry doorly zoo are only $5 so it's not like it was a waste of money.

Another Year
I always think when I watch a Mike Leigh movie, that more than any other director, he'd be a good friend to have.
His care for humanity and his ability to portray people as real people aren't matched by anyone else making movies.
I loved this one.
