30 years ago we didn't have home computers where we don't need to leave our house and the entire world is right here at our fingertips.
30 years ago we didn't have affordable cell phones.
We also didn't have smart phones with internet, video cameras and DSLR quality pics along with calling and answering.
We had to pay for our film every time. Pay for processing all our pics. Now we can make as many pics as our storage allows.
And we didn't have the technology to put nearly a tig of memory in a mini SD card the size of your thumb nail so that every song you can ever know can be stored in your smart phone and played thru your bluetooth stereo with no wires.
30 years ago we had video stores like Blockbusters,Record Stores like Tower records and Wax Trax.
There was no such thing as online shopping so our malls would always be full with rarely any vacancies.
No such thing as car accidents because the driver was texting.
So what will the next 30 years bring us?
We already have self serve cashiers in our supermarkets. Automation is advancing at an incredible rate.
What happens when Automation takes away all our jobs?
What happens when Humans no longer have any worth?
People think we will go into something similar to a Star Trek society.
But that leaves the Billionaire with not having these exclusive things so what has to give?
I see population control.
The elimination of "The Worthless".
Unless we find a way to give these billionaires reason to share technology with the world,I just see it as the 1% is tired of seeing the jobless 99% so needy of technology to survive, that it would benefit them if the future is composed of only the privileged people.
And the "Worthless" would go underground.
I hope I'm wrong but I'll probably be dead by then anyway.
The Denver Airport: old news. What you should be looking at, and wondering about, is what in hell is being excavated in the Austin chalk formations in central Texas. By informal truck traffic counts, at least 80,000 cubic yards of chalk stone has been removed, and over 6,000 9 yard loads of concrete have gone back down the access tunnels. A similar effort has been ongoing for at least twenty years under Kansas City, KS, in the old salt mine underlying that city since the 1950's. For that matter, Stockholm, Sweden has enough deep tunnels equipped as shelters to take the entire population of the city, as it existed in the late 70's, and they are still being maintained and extended.
See that's why I mentioned DIA. They built the same under the entire airport and went way over budget doing this. I even know workers that have been down there. It seems like a whole lot of wasted real estate.
It just seems like to me that this has been the plan of this illuminati all along.
I'm just going to pay attention of what rights we may see chipping away.
That "demonic evil in Antarctica," of which you speak, has recently been photographed, not only to authenticate its existence, but also to prove to doubters, naysayers, and skeptics that said demon does in truth exist. See photo below:
Americans do so we can fight against our extermination.
Of course, the security forces have more guns.
But it seems I would rather have a high round auto than a butterfly knife when my life is on the line.
And I hate guns.
They would go after the unarmed first so that would give me an escape.
Someone give us another scenario where no one dies and we all live in a Star trek or moneyless society. Because I don't see this.
We have already killed 40 thousand people last year alone in the 7 countries we have been bombing.
Maybe this extermination will happen chemically.
The media will broadcast a airborne virus that's wiping out millions and the survivors will go under while the 1% enjoys their utopia for they have a cure exclusive only to them.
I can't wait for a global nuclear holocaust to occur when the entire earth goes up in flames turning our planet into one big scorched rock. (Only cockroaches will survive to tell the tale.) Fireworks like that are really a "once-in-a-lifetime" event and should not to be missed.
P.s. Pray that we'll all learn a thing or two from this.
This is actually really serious shit when you think of all the implications.
Like I believe in Universal Health care because I don't want my waiter or cook to be sick when I take my family out to eat.
I believe in a return to our taxes giving back when we invest and not having more than half of our taxes go to the Military so we can kill to enrichen the already wealthy 1%.
But all that becomes nill when Automation takes over.
Because that will affect everyone.
With no jobs there are no taxes to collect.
That wipes out every socialist job from my own job as a Host Home Provider because I get state funding to firemen and the police department to teachers and even to maintain state parks to Social Security and Welfare.
Property owners what will they do when they can't collect the rent?
Jails alone what's to come when even private jails can't make it because that too depends on state funding for every inmate.
The Anarchy is inevitable.
Money is not flowing anymore and we can't exactly tax robots that took our jobs.
So something has to seriously give.
And I don't see Trump or Hillarious or even Bernie or Jill fixing what's to come.
Maybe it would equal out when the top dog from all this automation becomes so rich, that half of their earnings taxed will take care of every need of the jobless 99%.
But we even have more mansions than the people that would be in this situation. And people love their toys.
It would be a lot easier for them if there was less needy on earth. Less of the worthless.
You bring up a lot of good points, L_F. I think the one man in a position to bring us to Star Trek society is Elon Musk. But somehow, Donald trump was elected president. Hopefully Elon's long term vision outplays trumps ego needs.
