latest purchase thread

post your latest acquisitions...

the australian govt. recently handed out stimulus cheques for $900 to everyone who earnt up to 80k last year.
i just got mine finally and decided to stimulate myself by purchasing a new 18v cordless drill for work.
my last drill shat itself months ago and i've been borrowing the bosses.
$271 later, and i'm the proud owner of a new work toy.
it's mothers day tomorrow in oz, so i bought some choccies and a card for my best friends mum who treats me like her 3rd son. no, she doesn't beat me..
finally, i bought the sopranos series six: the final episodes which now completes my sopranos collection.
if you haven't watched the sopranos i suggest you do. it really is the best show in the history of television.

The wife and I bought our first home. Yeah, it's a townhouse in a gated community--but if you went outside that gate, you'd understand the need for the walls and such.

This isn't a picture of our exact place since I don't want any of you showing up--I haven't figured a good place to dispose of bodies yet.

what a coincidence.
I also just bought a cordless drill today.

don't feel like taking a pic, though. later for that.

Posted by karen on 05-10-2009 04:53 AM:

and another coincidence. Brett and I just made an offer on a house yesterday. It's a short sale, though. So it may be a while before we know if we get it.

Very nice looking townhouse you bought, btw.

Here's a couple online pics of the house we made the offer on:

front:

back(the backyard is actually much bigger than this. Pic only shows part if it. It was the main selling point for us. gorgeous yard:

Bought a couple of baldwin blueberry bushes and planted them today. They're not ready for harvest and don't look to much different than some of the weeds we got. Here's what they look like.

Did you purchase a blueberry rake for harvesting? If not, best get right on that before Fiend finds this thread.

Blueberries take a couple of years to mature, no? My latest purchase was tea and a bagel for me and coffee and bagel for the drummer.

But I would like a new car stereo, as soon as I'm working again.

its shoehorned inbetween the garage and the house....not my idea....estrogen....they teamed up and bought it for themselves allegedly for mothers day.....another god-damned thing I'll have to deal with.

Posted by creepy uncle on 05-11-2009 01:49 PM:

My last significant purchase was a set of six summer weight arm socks to cushion my stump in the socket of my prosthetic arm. $98.25 with tax.
