Tell me about the things I want to learn

Tell me about proxy stuff! Tell me about digital footprints! Where do I learn about programming (like, seriously learn shit in things like DOS (is dos still a thing), C++, Linux and Unix and whatnot)? I seriously want to learn the things before I get any older and technology-dumber.

Suggestions are cool for Chrome OS (or would I have to make it Linux?) or windows. Or would it be more worthwhile to get a raspberry pi or try to build something?

I don't have a clue. But I want to have several clues. Where do I even start?

Well, you could come to England and learn to do 2D dynamic modeling at Wallingford. It's all the rage with the cooler hydrologists these days.
