What Movie Did You Just Watch?
I let the old thread drop.
I'm sick of it infecting this forum.
Zonad
Christ, I don't know whether to think this movie is sheer genius social commentary or the most stupid thing I've ever seen.
Escaped convict convinces an entire Irish town he's a space alien.
Eats their food, drinks their liquor and screws their women and they love him for it.
Damn, Avert won the other thread. Fuck you, macker!
Dragon Hunters (Chasseurs de dragons) - Great, if mega-superficial children's movie. Should have seen it at the cinema, the artwork is often pretty stunning. 6.8/10
Mary and Max - It's so indie it hurts. All the bases of alienation, abuse, doomed romance and death are covered. Still very good and touching. 8.1/10
The White Ribbon (Das weiße Band) - My first Haneke movie. A total pleasure to watch, but afterwards kinda 'Huh? I have to think for myself and use my imagination? Bleh.' I understand that is his schtick. 7/10
Gonna see Caché next.
The old thread. For reference.
Spare yourself Caché. It's not horrible, but WAY overhyped.
Haneke is great, I told you to watch Das weiße Band lightyears ago.
Wolfzeit / Benny's Video .... fcking awesome, too.

If you wanna watch another good german movie, try 'The Life of the Others'....same actors as many Haneken movies.

The Life of Others is a classic.
Did you write a review of Das weiße Band?
Trainspotting
I can't believe it has taken me this long to watch it, but I absolutely loved it. 4/5
I like costume dramas, it was wonderful.
Anyone of you saw "Atlas shrugged"?
I heared it sucked. Well, it's Ayn Rand.
Her stupid ass theses are sneered at, at the craddle of philosophy...and accordingly didn't make it far outside the united states.
yanks....take filth out a cheesy novelette and hook it up with the predicate: "philosophy". Finally something of their own, they can slightly understand...^^
I'm still boggling over the notion of Trainspotting as a costume drama.
Caché.
Yeah, it wasn't fantastic, but still nice to watch. Very Lynch-like at times.
I'm hoping he will at some point dare to make a movie with a deeply satisfying plotline. 6.3/10
Justin Bieber.Never Say Never.

I just spent the better part of 5 min tryn to figure out what you meant by that comment, mouse.
Let's start a new thread, this one is already too weird.
Exorcismus:The Possession Of Amy Evans
I really liked it ... 10 times better than that Insideous shite, even with the iffy wooden acting it was quite enjoyable. 6.3/10
Thor.
Better than I expected! (I didn't expect much..)

The Jacket. Sucked.
The Vanguard. Did not suck as much as The Jacket, and had zombies.
Bridesmaids (2011)
I watched this flick late last night. HAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!! It's not another so-so to awful SNL skit-flick. There are an abundance of chuckles, snickers and, best of all, quite a few belly-laughs. Melissa McCarthy had me howling at times. She wasn't the only one, either.
Quite the unexpected surprise. I give it 3.95 outta 4.00 movie Freds. Here's as link.
Amen.
Thor.
it was definitely fun to watch.
I tried to watch "Lost in Translation" for the third time last night. I know it's supposed to be a good movie but I just can't sit through it.
I made it 20 minutes into LiT. I wanted to like it, but pretentious movie is pretentious.
I got about 30 minutes into it. I think the scene that does it for me is the one where Murray's character meets the girl. She's all mopey and shit and mentions she had just graduated from Yale two years earlier and he's all pouting about his work and how they paid him 2 mill to come shoot commercials. Then it occurs to me that anyone with a degree from Yale, or someone making 2 mill for just getting their picture taken doesn't have a reason to bitch about their life and how it's not what they thought it would be. Overpriveleged whiny bastards. At that point I just quit giving a fuck and turn it off.
Hanna. Teenage girl is cute and lethal and totally freaky. When did I turn into Travis the Teen Fanboy?
Speaking of Fanboy...
just saw Fast Five.
Meh. It was pretty bad. And it wasn't even The Rock's fault. The Israeli chick was hot though.
