OKay guys... what do you use as your FOV (Field of Vision) in quake type games, personally i use 120, sometimes up to 130, and i understand this is pretty high, but it makes me a good shot, cos everything i point at looks smaller.

plus it makes the game move really fast.

what FOV do you use? (its 90 by default)

Since getting my new monitor I've stuck with 105 but my game isnt as good. I might go higher if I can stand the fish bowle effect.

depends on what i'm playing..

typically 105 - 110
if i'm playing defense (ctf or whatever) i'll up it to 120 - 130 so i can see more.

used to play offense in ctf at 130, because of the speed feeling, but i decided to drop it back down

the only time i really messed with fov was with TF in the old days.

i think i had it around 100 for normal play, and then if your sniping fov 15, fov 30, fov 45. or something around that for increments of zoom. or just to see what was going on across the board.
i think i played with it at 130 for scout at on point, so i could see as much as i could.

i'll have to see what happens when you change the fov in Rune. it's a third person game so i'm not sure how it will work.
