My son rather impressed me today. He showed me his silver collection. Huge bag of silver pennies. What they call "Trash" coins in silver. Bottom line,it's quite a lot. Told me he's been buying a little here and a little there at Amazon of all places.
He never spends more than 20 bucks a week. He finds the bargains. He also has a shit load of 2 dollar bills with red or green stampings and a bunch of rare coins.
It's a large accumulation. Gold he tells me is beyond his reach right now. But maybe soon.

Well, 3m, it is true that a great many armies throughout history were in fact explicity encouraged to both pillage and plunder, both to meet supply needs in the field, and as compensation for their efforts and risk. It was the only PAY they got, often enough.
