Vegas pissup 2019
I think we should do this. I am on a bad decision roll and vegas seems like the right place to keep that going.

I’ve been there. A lot.
Amen.

I wasn’t speaking against it, Jinxy. I LOVE Vegas. That’s why I go there so often.
Amen.

Ok so let's do it. Ideally some time after April when my leave is replenished.

I expect I’ll be going out there again in April. I’m going in a coupla weeks. September, too. I’m sure I’ll be out there some other months before April, but I try to stay fluid.
Jinxy? Have you ever been there?
Amen.

I'll buy the beers if anyone wants to turn up in Amsterdam, supermarket beer on the side of a canal, but the offer's open.

I’d like that, skalie, but what I’d really enjoy is doing some pickin’ with ya.
Amen.

.. a few Duesenbergs and a few Les Pauls, and an SG.
You'll have to bring your own Strat.

I’ve got a fat Strat, but I haven’t picked it up in over ten years. I also sold my Les Paul. What I’ve been playing is an acoustic Austin dreadnought. I’ve recently taken to running it through a Peavey Vyper 15w with a Dean Markley sound hole pickup. Surprisingly big sound, especially for such a wee amp.
Frankly, I’m not picky. If the action is good and it sounds good, I’m happy. It’s ultimately all about the sound. But, I know you know that.
Amen.

Ha! I’ve owned the Austin acoustic for over 15 years and it was used when I bought it. Anyway, I just looked in the sound hole. It was made in Korea. I had no idea. But, it plays great and sounds good.
Amen.

We'd love to do the Vegas thing, but more likely in 2020.
I don't get my permanent UK residency until end of 2019. Having a UK residence permit makes it easier for me to travel to the USA, otherwise, I'd likely need to apply for a visa.
What I am trying to say is, yes? But 2020 please?

Sure. Actually, I may be going to a wedding in Durham UK in 2019. Looking to make it more than a one stop shop, so Skalie, buddy, I may be down for an Amsterdam meetup while I'm overseas, as I wanted to make a second stop somewhere... and Jaz, I'll be in London at some point for sure! I met Cockney Rebel in 2006, who's name checks out.
Jeb, my friend, I had only been there when I was 15. I don't actually enjoy gambling, so I'd be more into the shows, I expect. Though I'm less of a fan of Penn these days, I still have a soft spot for Teller and would want to see them live.
I also want to go back to NYC to see Sleep No More again... if that interests any of you crazy kids.
