Hi. My mom is 59 this year. She needs new knees. My brother lives in Colorado and grows marijuana and has a pretty sweet cushy job and a really awesome fiancee.
I'm no longer in the army. I was honorably discharged in 2009 after 2 tours through Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait.

GFY, yeah. I think they help, but don't cure the underlying issue. Though I believe in cognitive psychology, I think more has to do with behavior than we realize.
So, I did start writing... First book is going to be pretty basic - just about learning, memory and who knows what else. I'm ankle deep in research. I've got my mnemonics bit pretty much covered. I need to decide where else I want to take the memory portion of said book. Plan on aiming for five chapters. We'll see if I get that far.
I talked with someone who just did kindle direct publishing and had some pretty good luck. I am fairly confident I'll go that route as well. Sure, you're selling your soul to amazon, but I'm not sure it matters in the end.
